Grand Vin du Château Margaux

1907
It is interesting to note the commentary of the cellar master that despite the continuous rain, the harvest remained healthy which should not surprise us because we recently experienced a similar situation. Tasted in 2011, the color was very clear, almost that of a rosé. With beautiful complexity on the nose, it reminded us of a pretty Pinot Noir. However, although the palate was enjoyable, it was less impressive than the nose and marked by a certain acidity.

Climate

In spite of continual rain from 27th September, the grapes remained perfectly healthy. There were quite serious invasions of eudemis moths during the summer. (The picking began 26th September)
