Beginning of the white harvest

The harvest started this morning in our Sauvignon Blanc plots. In living memory, these are the earliest harvests of white grapes that we have experienced due to the exceptional summer conditions.

These conditions shortened the usual length of the vegetative cycle. Today, the aromatic expression of Sauvignon is very good and the balance between sugars and acidity is at its best. It is therefore the ideal time to start harvesting.

Despite unprecedented climatic conditions, the vines suffered relatively little. The effect of the terroir is, as with every vintage, essential. It allows us to once again harvest grapes with very good potential.

Nearly 60 pickers have been hard at work since this morning. They will be joined in 3 to 4 weeks by 200 additional pickers to start harvesting our red plots.
