Grand Vin du Château Margaux

1963
Given its age and the very difficult climatic conditions of this vintage, we expected the worst when we had the opportunity to open two bottles in May 2019. It is obviously not an exceptional wine, but it is pleasant nonetheless. Although the color is cloudy, the nose has a certain freshness preceding a rather light and acidic palate balanced by very soft tannins. (May 2019)

Margaux

Climate

A cold and rainy year, in which the grapes were never able reach a good level of ripeness or sufficient concentration. (The picking began 26th September)
